Ingredients

  • 1 small pkg lemon jello
  • 1 small pkg orange jello
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 3 slices bananas
  • 1 No. 2 can crushed pineapple (drained, juice reserved)
  • 40 or more small marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • reserved pineapple juice
  • Cool Whip
  • grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Make the lemon and orange jello according to package instructions, using hot water to dissolve and then adding cold water.
  2. Pour the prepared jello into a dish and chill until set.
  3. Add the marshmallows to the jello and chill until they are partially melted and the mixture is slightly thickened.
  4. In a saucepan, cook the sugar, flour, and reserved pineapple juice over medium heat until thickened.
  5. Allow the cooked mixture to cool, then spread it evenly over the set jello layer.
  6. Top with Cool Whip, grated Cheddar cheese, and shredded coconut if desired.
