- Butter a baking dish.
- Place a layer of crushed or crumbed soda crackers in the dish, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Add the oysters with their liquid on top of the crackers.
- Season with salt and pepper, and add pats of butter over the oysters.
- Pour 2 cups of cream over the oysters and crackers.
- Add another layer of crackers about 1/2 inch thick on top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
