Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter or oleo
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Blend melted butter or oleo, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  2. Add eggs and beat well with a spoon.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt separately.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
