Ingredients

  • 1 gal. water
  • 2 (3 oz.) pkg. Tabasco crab boil
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 1/4 c. Tabasco pepper sauce
  • 1 large lemon, cut in pieces
  • 8 medium white onions, peeled
  • 4 artichokes, cut in half
  • 3 carrots, peeled and cut in 2-inch pieces
  • 1 1/2 lb. small red potatoes
  • 4 ears corn on cob, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 3 lb. crawfish aka Louisiana Mud Bugs
  • 1 lb. large shrimp, unpeeled

Instructions

  1. In a very large saucepan with a removable wire basket, heat water, crab boil, salt, Tabasco sauce, and lemon to boiling.
  2. Add onions, artichokes, carrots, and potatoes; heat to boiling.
  3. Reduce heat to low.
  4. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  5. Carefully remove vegetables.
