Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb ahi
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon hichimi Japanese 7-powder seasoning
  • oil
  • daikon radish, shredded
  • carrot, shredded

Instructions

  1. Cut fish into 8 x 1 1/2 x 3/4-inch rectangular pieces.
  2. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, wasabi, and hichimi.
  3. Add fish and marinate for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over high heat; brush lightly with oil.
  5. Sear fish for 4 seconds on each side.
  6. Slice and place on bed of shredded vegetables.
  7. Serve immediately.
