Instructions
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Separate eggs.
- Add yolks, jam and pineapple to the creamed mixture.
- Blend until smooth. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Fold egg whites and nuts into the batter.
- Bake in three small 8-inch layer pans at 350° for 45 minutes.
- Spread with Caramel Icing.
