Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 pkg. round steak
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Cut round steak into 1/2 inch squares.
  2. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat; sauté the round steak until browned.
  3. Add sliced onion, garlic powder, sugar, and pepper to the skillet.
  4. Cook, stirring until onion is golden.
  5. Add water and soy sauce, then simmer, covered, for one hour.
  6. Serve over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
