A creamy spinach dip served in a bread bowl, perfect for gatherings and parties. Rich flavors of spinach, sour cream, and vegetables make it a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach
  • 2 Tbsp. onion, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg. Knorr-Swiss vegetable soup mix
  • 5 oz. can water chestnuts, grated
  • 1 round loaf unsliced rye or pumpernickel bread

Instructions

  1. Press thawed spinach to remove excess juice.
  2. Combine spinach with minced onion, sour cream, mayonnaise, vegetable soup mix, and grated water chestnuts.
  3. Slice one inch off the top of the bread loaf.
  4. Hollow out the bread loaf with a grapefruit knife, leaving a 1/2-inch thick shell.
  5. Tear or cut the removed bread into chunks suitable for dipping.
  6. Fill the bread shell with the spinach mixture.
  7. Serve with bread chunks, crackers, or chips.
