Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can butter beans (do not drain)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans (do not drain)
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans (do not drain)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Fry the bacon until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
  2. In the bacon fat, fry the hamburger and chopped onion until browned.
  3. Crumble the cooked bacon and add it to the hamburger and onion mixture.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish.
  5. Add the butter beans, kidney beans, and pork and beans along with their liquid to the casserole.
  6. Stir in white sugar, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, molasses, and salt.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 70 minutes.
