Ingredients

  • 1 unsliced loaf sheepherder bread
  • 4 (8 oz.) packages softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 (5 oz.) jar Armour dried beef
  • 3 green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare a sheet of aluminum foil.
  2. Cut the sheepherder bread into slices or chunks as desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, pepper, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Chop the Armour dried beef into small pieces and fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Slice green onions thinly and add to the mixture, stirring well.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the sheepherder bread slices or serve as a dip with bread.
  7. Wrap the bread or dip in aluminum foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes, if desired, or serve chilled.
