Sweet potato shoe string fries coated in a sugary, buttery glaze, baked to tender perfection, then topped with raisins and nuts for a delightful, sweet snack or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 medium sweet potatoes, cut into strips
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup 7-Up
  • 1 small box raisins

Instructions

  1. Mix melted butter, sugar, and 7-Up together and pour over the potato strips.
  2. Cover the baking dish with foil.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven, add nuts and raisins, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
