Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 1/2 pounds cut-up chicken
  • 1/2 cube margarine
  • 8 small potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into pieces
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a paper bag, combine flour, salt, and paprika.
  2. Add chicken pieces a few at a time to coat with the flour mixture.
  3. In a 10-inch or larger skillet, melt margarine and brown all chicken pieces.
  4. Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and add peeled and quartered potatoes and cut carrots.
  5. Season vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Cover all with cream of chicken soup.
  7. Simmer for 40 to 50 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are tender.
  8. Remove from heat and add sour cream to the soup mixture to make gravy.
