Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and all dry ingredients together.
  2. Add shortening and mix well.
  3. Gradually add buttermilk to make stiff dough.
  4. Roll the dough thin and cut into strips.
  5. Drop the strips into boiling broth.
  6. Cook until done.
