Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 oz fresh yeast
  • 4 cups flour
  • nuts, chopped
  • egg white

Instructions

  1. Blend softened butter with sugar and beat until smooth.
  2. Add egg yolks and beat further.
  3. Incorporate crumbled fresh yeast and mix well.
  4. Stir in flour, combining until all flour is incorporated.
  5. Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes.
  6. Shape dough into desired forms such as balls, crescents, or logs.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg white and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
  8. Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes until golden.
  9. Cool briefly before serving.
