Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 (1 pound) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 (1 pound 15 ounces) can pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (12 ounce) package smoked link sausages, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, combine chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and oil.
  2. Stir in the drained garbanzo beans, pork and beans in tomato sauce, smoked link sausages, and barbecue sauce.
  3. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Uncover and simmer about 5 minutes more, if necessary, to reduce the liquid.
  5. Serve hot.
