- Combine green beans, chopped onion, salad oil, 1/2 cup vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

- Cover and chill the mixture overnight.
- Next day, drain the beans.
- Mix the chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and 2 teaspoons vinegar to prepare the egg mixture.
- Toss the drained beans with bacon pieces.
- Make a well in the center of the bean mixture and fill it with the egg mixture.
