Ingredients

  • 2 cans French-style green beans
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 small onion

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
  2. Add sugar and vinegar to the bacon drippings in the pan.
  3. Saute the chopped onion until translucent.
  4. Pour the onion, sugar, and vinegar mixture over the beans in a pot.
  5. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Add crumbled bacon to the beans and stir to combine.
  7. Set aside and reheat when ready to serve.
