- Remove from heat and add milk, cornmeal, and cheese to the onions.
- Beat egg yolks separately and fold into the mixture.

- Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Bake in a 375°F oven until the top is light gold.
- Cut into squares and serve.
