Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon melted margarine
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Beat together the sugar, corn syrup, salt, flour, and eggs.
  2. Add the vanilla, melted margarine, and pecan halves.
  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  4. Turn the rounded side of the pecans up.
  5. Bake in a slow oven at 300°F for 1 hour.
  6. Cool before cutting.
  7. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
