Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops or steaks
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 (8 oz.) can stewed and chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Brown the pork chops in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. Place the browned pork chops in a roasting pan.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients: water, tomatoes, onion, parsley, chili powder, oregano, garlic powder, pepper, and sugar.
  4. Pour the mixture over the pork chops in the roasting pan.
  5. Cover and bake slowly at 350°F until the meat is very tender and falling off the bone, checking often.
  6. Add additional water if needed to maintain sauce consistency.
