Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. hamburger
  • 3 to 5 onions, chopped
  • 1 (28 oz.) can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can pinto or kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1/2 to 1 c. picante sauce (mild)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onions in a large pot.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients: chopped tomatoes, beans, corn, picante sauce, water, cumin, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
