Tips & Substitutions

For a more flavorful skewered steak, marinate the meat in olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice for a few hours before cubing. You can substitute the vegetables based on your preference; zucchini or eggplant work well too. To add a kick, consider adding a few chili flakes to the seasoning.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the souvlakia hot off the grill with a side of rice pilaf or a fresh salad like Rita's Famous Salad for a complete meal. They also pair beautifully with Mediterranean recipes like Tabouli(Grain Salad). For a refreshing drink, consider serving with Orange And Spice Tea.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes or until heated through, to maintain the skewers' texture. Alternatively, you can microwave for 1-2 minutes but may lose some crispness.
