Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, sugar, and oil.
  2. Remove 3/4 cup of the crumbly mixture to use as topping.
  3. Add the baking powder, baking soda, egg, and milk to the remaining mixture and stir until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
  5. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
