Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup chopped apples

Instructions

  1. Cream brown sugar, margarine, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
  4. Fold in chopped nuts and chopped apples.
  5. Spread the batter into a well-greased and floured 8-inch pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
