Ingredients

  • 8 1/2 oz. can ripe olives
  • 7 1/4 oz. jar stuffed green olives
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Drain liquid from ripe olives and discard.
  2. Drain liquid from stuffed green olives and reserve.
  3. Arrange both kinds of olives in a very clean jar.
  4. Add garlic, bay leaf, mustard seed, thyme, salt, and pepper to the reserved stuffed olive juice.
  5. Fill the jar with this mixture, adding water if necessary to cover the olives.
  6. Refrigerate until needed and after opening.
