Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • garlic powder
  • 15.5 oz. jar Ragu
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. seashell macaroni
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen chopped spinach, drain, and set aside, reserving the liquid.
  2. Brown the ground meat and chopped onion in a skillet.
  3. Drain the grease from the meat mixture.
  4. Stir the spinach liquid (reserved from cooking spinach) and sauces into the meat.
  5. Simmer the mixture.
  6. Cook the seashell macaroni until al dente and drain.
  7. Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese, cooked spinach, bread crumbs, beaten eggs, and 1/2 cup of oil.
  8. Spread the spinach-macaroni mixture in a lightly greased baking dish.
  9. Top with the meat mixture.
  10. Bake at 350°F until bubbling and heated through.
