- Add 3 more cups of flour and knead the dough until smooth.
- If the dough is too soft, add an additional 1 cup of flour.
- Let the dough double in size, then roll it out and cut with a doughnut cutter.
- Allow the cut doughnuts to rise until they are twice their original size.
- Fry the doughnuts in deep oil heated to 390°F until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain. Serve warm or at room temperature.
