Tender sirloin strips cooked with vibrant peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a savory burgundy sauce, served over rice—perfect for hearty, flavorful weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. sirloin tip, cut into strips 1 1/2 x 1/2-inch
  • 6 large green peppers, diced
  • 3 onions, diced
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. burgundy wine
  • 1 quart water
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Heat skillet and sauté meat in salad oil until browned.
  2. Add peppers, onions, mushrooms, water, burgundy wine, and all seasonings.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
  4. If more seasoning is needed, add 1 teaspoon of Lawry's Season Salt.
  5. Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve over cooked rice.
