  1. Dredge the steak in flour and brown well on both sides in hot fat.
  2. Place the browned meat in a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  3. Pour off any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Scrape up the browned drippings and add them to the casserole with the meat.
  5. Sprinkle chopped onion, parsley, salt, and pepper over all.
  6. Add tomato sauce on top.
  7. Cover the casserole and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
