Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp. dry red table wine
  • 3 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 2 boneless beef steaks (5 oz. each)

Instructions

  1. In an 8-inch nonstick skillet, heat margarine over medium heat until bubbly and hot.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned.
  3. Reduce heat to low; add wine and cook, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes until heated.
  4. Remove skillet from heat; set aside and keep sauce warm.
  5. Broil steaks on a rack in a broiling pan, turning once, until done to taste.
  6. Remove steaks to serving platter.
  7. Pour sauce over steaks or transfer sauce to a gravy boat and serve.
