Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 (12 oz.) New York strip steaks
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. green peppercorns in liquid, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. steak sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Cook steaks in a skillet sprinkled with salt until browned.
  2. Combine green peppercorns, water, and steak sauce in the hot skillet.
  3. Cook over medium heat, loosening browned food particles.
  4. Stir in whipping cream and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 3 to 4 minutes to slightly thicken.
  6. Add the steaks back to the skillet.
  7. Simmer for 5 minutes or until desired degree of doneness, stirring occasionally.
