Steak Surprise features tender chuck fillets coated in a rich, tangy sauce with ketchup, Worcestershire, and A.1. steak sauce, perfect for hearty family dinners served over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. chuck fillets
  • 1 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. A.1. steak sauce
  • 4 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Brown steaks in vegetable oil on both sides.
  2. Drain thoroughly and place in a baking dish.
  3. Mix together all of the other ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the steaks.
  5. Bake, uncovered, in an oven preheated to 350°F for 1 hour.
  6. Serve over hot, cooked rice.
