Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh shrimp
  • 2 c. broccoli flowerets
  • 2 c. fresh mushrooms
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. snow peas
  • garlic powder
  • 1 c. sliced green onions
  • 1 pkg. stir-fry seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. peanut oil
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Clean the shrimp and set aside.
  2. Add soy sauce and sugar to the stir-fry seasoning; mix well and set aside.
  3. Add peanut oil to an electric wok set at 350°F.
  4. Add broccoli, mushrooms, water chestnuts, snow peas, and green onions to the wok and cook for five minutes, stirring often.
  5. Remove the vegetables from the wok and set aside.
  6. Place oleo (margarine) in the wok and add the shrimp.
  7. Season the shrimp with garlic powder to taste.
  8. Cook the shrimp until they turn white and are fully cooked.
  9. Return the vegetables to the wok with the shrimp and add the stir-fry seasoning mixture.
  10. Stir well and cook for three more minutes.
  11. Serve over rice or on its own.
