Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp chopped green pepper
  • 1 (1 lb) can pork and beans
  • 1 Tbsp King syrup
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; drain, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings.
  2. Cook onion and green pepper in drippings until tender; drain.
  3. Add pork and beans, chopped bacon, King syrup, and mustard to the skillet.
  4. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Before serving, crumble bacon and garnish the top of the beans.
