Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 12 oz. white morsels
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup seedless strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Grease and sugar a 9-inch square pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar, and flour to form a crumbly mixture.
  4. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the prepared pan as the crust.
  5. Spread the seedless strawberry jam evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle toasted pecans over the jam layer.
  7. In a separate bowl, melt white morsels and beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Pour the chocolate mixture over the jam and pecans.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into bars and serving.
