Ingredients

  • 4 boneless butterfly pork chops 1 inch thick
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 8 fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups hot cooked egg noodles

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet on medium heat, brown the pork chops in oil for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the pork chops and keep warm.
  3. In the drippings, sauté onion and mushrooms until tender.
  4. Stir in water, mustard, and salt; bring to a boil.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until tender.
  6. Remove the pork chops and keep warm.
  7. In a small bowl, combine flour and sour cream until smooth.
  8. Add the sour cream mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil.
  9. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  10. Serve the pork chops with mushroom sauce over hot cooked egg noodles.
