Ingredients

  • 1 small porterhouse steak
  • 3 Tbsp. peanut oil
  • 3 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 c. chopped white or yellow onion
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the porterhouse steak into small, bite-sized strips.
  2. Heat oil and black pepper in a skillet until hot.
  3. Toss the steak strips in flour until coated.
  4. Remove the steak and shake off excess flour.
  5. Brown the steak strips in the hot oil.
  6. Reserve the cooked steak and cool the skillet slightly, adding more oil or Worcestershire sauce if needed.
  7. Add chopped onions to the skillet and cook until transparent.
  8. Return the steak to the skillet with the onions.
  9. Add a big dollop of sour cream over the mixture and warm gently before serving.
