Ingredients

  • 1 small container sour cream
  • Apricot jam
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • Sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 pound margarine
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Add the sour cream and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 2 or 3 parts and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours.
  4. Roll each portion of dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
  5. Spread apricot jam evenly over the rolled dough.
  6. Mix raisins and walnuts together and spread a thin layer over the jam.
  7. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, then roll up as for a jelly roll.
  8. Cut slits in the top of the rolled dough, 1/2-inch apart.
  9. Sprinkle additional cinnamon and sugar on top.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
