Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 sticks melted margarine
  • 8 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water, set aside.
  2. Beat the eggs, sugar, salt, milk, and melted margarine until well combined.
  3. Slowly add the yeast mixture and flour to the wet ingredients, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Cover the dough and chill overnight.
  5. Divide the chilled dough into 4 equal portions.
  6. Roll each portion into a circle about 1/4-inch thick.
  7. Cut each circle into 12 wedges using a pizza cutter.
  8. Roll each wedge starting from the large end to form a crescent shape.
  9. Place the rolled crescents on a greased baking pan and let rise for 2 to 2 1/2 hours until doubled in size.
  10. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
