- Mix well to combine all ingredients.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the mixture.

- Grease and flour three No. 2 tin pans.
- Spoon batter into the pans, filling each about halfway.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 250°F (120°C) until dark brown, approximately 30 minutes.
- Insert a knife into the middle; if it comes out clean, the bread is done.
