Ingredients

  • 1 lb. carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. pecans

Instructions

  1. Steam the carrots until tender.
  2. Combine the brown sugar and butter in a saucepan and heat until melted and blended.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cold water and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan with the butter and brown sugar, and heat until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the thickened glaze to the steamed carrots and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Stir in the chopped pecans into the glazed carrots and serve.
