- Combine marmalade, cream, and corn syrup in a blender or food processor.
- Process until well blended.
- In a large saucepan, combine the sugar and cocoa.
- Mix well. Add softened butter along with the milk/marmalade mixture.
- Mix well.
- Bring to a boil and cook until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Place the pan in a large pan of cold water and allow to cool before beating.
- Beat until the mixture thickens and is no longer glossy, which may take 20 to 30 minutes.
- Drop from a spoon onto wax paper or pour into a well-buttered 8-inch square dish or pan.
