Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 11 oz. can Pillsbury refrigerated soft breadsticks
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted margarine or butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup; blend well.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of an ungreased 8 or 9-inch round pan.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the mixture.
  5. Remove dough from the can of Pillsbury refrigerated soft breadsticks.
  6. Separate the dough into 8 coils without unrolling them.
  7. In a shallow dish, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Dip one cut side of each coil into the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
  9. Arrange the coils, sugared side down, over the pecans in the pan.
  10. Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture over the top.
  11. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 19 to 24 minutes, or until deep golden brown.
  12. Cool for 1 minute after baking.
  13. Invert the pan onto a serving plate to release the rolls.
  14. Serve warm.
