Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 c. flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine margarine, oil, and granulated sugar. Beat until creamy.
  2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Sift together baking soda, flour, cream of tartar, and salt.
  4. Add the sifted dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the dough for 2 hours.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
  7. Place the balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 12 to 15 minutes.
