- Mix baking soda and sour cream by hand and set aside.
- Cream sugar, margarine, and eggs until the sugar is absorbed.
- Mash bananas and vanilla, then add to the creamed mixture.
- Gradually add flour and salt, then fold in pecans.
- Stir in the sour cream mixture and pour into greased loaf pans.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 325° to 335°F for 1 hour.
- Let cool before removing from pans.
