Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 ounces sliced almonds
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat the eggs for 30 seconds on medium speed.
  2. With the mixer on low, gradually add the melted butter and almond extract.
  3. Beat in the sugar, flour, and salt until blended, about one minute on medium speed.
  4. Spray a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan with one-inch sides with vegetable spray.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing out to the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the sliced almonds evenly over the top of the batter.
