Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2/3 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope onion soup (dry)
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, evaporated milk, one-third can of cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix, parsley flakes, thyme, and ground nutmeg in a mixing bowl.
  2. Place the mixture in a 12 x 9 x 2 1/2-inch baking dish and shape into a loaf.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
  4. While the meatloaf bakes, heat the remaining cream of mushroom soup and sour cream in a saucepan, stirring constantly until smooth and heated through.
  5. Serve the sliced meatloaf topped with the warm mushroom sauce.
