Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. masa (prepared)
  • 1/4 lb. butter or margarine
  • 18 oz. can pineapple and juice
  • 1 small package coconut
  • sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean the corn husks thoroughly.
  2. Mix prepared masa with butter or margarine until well combined.
  3. Add pineapple with juice, coconut, and sugar to the masa mixture and stir well.
  4. Take 2 tablespoons of the prepared masa, flatten it in a corn husk, and add some fruit in the center.
  5. Roll and fold the husk to enclose the filling.
  6. Steam the tamales for 45 minutes until cooked through.
