Ingredients

  • 1 cup mushroom soup
  • 1 large onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • venison steaks or chops
  • flour

Instructions

  1. Pound the venison steaks or chops in flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brown the seasoned steaks in butter on both sides.
  3. Transfer the browned steaks to a casserole or baking dish.
  4. Pour in the mushroom soup and half a can of water over the steaks.
  5. Arrange slices of onion on top of the steaks and cover the dish.
  6. Bake for 1 hour at 275°F until the meat is tender.
