- Cook squash and chopped onion in water with a little salt until tender.
- Drain off excess liquid and mash the squash and onion slightly.
- Add margarine and 3/4 cup of grated cheese; stir until melted.
- Beat eggs and add milk; blend well.
- Add the egg and milk mixture to the squash mixture and mix thoroughly.
- Stir in the stuffing mix until well combined.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake until heated through and golden on top.
